I have stayed here several times and am a local resident. Don and Carolyn are always so nice. We couldn't ask for a better campground to spend our family vacations! Bathrooms are always well maintained. The kids love the pool and the paved circle drive to ride their bicycles. The porch swings by the pool are always so relaxing at dusk. My husband and I have made a habit of going there to swing in the evening times. There are also friendly squirrels that will eat right out of your hand! We always have a blast!!

we had a wonderful stay. so much we asked to stay another night. all the comforts at home but better. David was a great help in getting us set up. here's a big shout out to him. Don and Carolyn were so nice. i felt like i had known them forever. the campground was very well kept and the bathhouse wonderfully clean. no spider webs here. thanks for a great time!

we had a relaxing and peaceful stay here. we loved the family atmosphere. we will definitely stay here again.

We have stayed here a couple of times now, and we love it. Mr. Don and Ms. Carolyn are such wonderful sweet people! The campground is right on the river and offers a lot of shade. It is very clean and neat, and the bath house is always kept clean. We have enjoyed our stays at The Mountineer, and we are heading back again!! I strongly recommend The Mountaineer!!
